We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Accountant Location : Lagos Key Responsibilities: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and settlement account reconciliations. Maintain fixed asset register and monitor accounting controls. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journal entries. Ensure timely remittance and filing of statutory taxes (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT). Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial forecasting. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and schedules. Process vendor payments, staff expense claims, and payroll-related entries. Collaboration & Work Practices: Support Compliance with audit trails and financial documentation requests. Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes. Work closely with the Settlement team to reconcile transaction and payout accounts. Report to the Finance Manager/CFO on account status and variances. Qualifications ICAN or ACCA certification (or in view) is an advantage. Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally within banking, fintech, or a payments company.
