We have multiple locations in Benin, Warri, Okuokoko etc. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist – Chemical Pathology Location: Benin City, Edo Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities: Report critical or abnormal results promptly to the appropriate clinician. Perform routine and specialized chemical pathology investigations in accordance with laboratory procedures. Adhere strictly to laboratory safety, infection prevention, and quality management standards. Perform any other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager or designated supervisor. Participate in equipment maintenance, inventory control, and laboratory audits. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory results. Assist with the implementation and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Participate in continuous professional development and departmental training. Conduct analysis of blood, urine, and other biological specimens using approved laboratory methods. Ensure proper specimen collection, identification, processing, storage, and disposal. Monitor reagents, consumables, and equipment to ensure adequate availability and functionality. Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers. Review and validate laboratory results before release. Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records and documentation. Participate in internal and external quality assurance programmes. Requirements: Education: Possession of a valid practising licence. Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) from a recognized institution. Must be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN). Experience: Experience: working with automated chemistry analyzers is preferred. Experience: in Chemical Pathology will be an added advantage. Minimum of 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience: in a clinical laboratory setting. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good documentation and record-keeping skills. Proficiency in the use of laboratory information systems and basic computer applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of chemical pathology procedures and laboratory practices. Ability to operate automated and semi-automated laboratory analyzers.
