The successful candidate will drive learning, service excellence, leadership development, and employee capability, ensuring that employees consistently deliver exceptional service in line with the highest standards of luxury hospitality. Key Responsibilities: Training Strategy & Learning Culture: Build a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and service excellence while maintaining consistent standards across Lagos and Abuja. Lead the training strategy and annual learning plan across both properties. Conduct Training Needs Analysis and develop programmes covering technical, operational, behavioural, service, and leadership skills. Hospitality & Service Excellence: Partner with operational departments to address service gaps using guest feedback, audits, reviews, and performance data. Deliver training that supports five-star hospitality, guest experience, professionalism, and service excellence. Ensure training translates into consistent on-the-job service standards. Leadership & Talent Development: Support succession planning and coach managers on people management, performance, communication, and team leadership. Develop leadership programmes for supervisors, managers, and senior leaders. Identify and develop high-potential employees and future leaders. Employee Development & Onboarding: Work with HR and Department Heads to identify capability gaps and create targeted development plans. Establish structured onboarding, induction, career development, and continuous learning programmes. Support initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, and internal career progression. Training Delivery & Quality: Conduct regular training audits and evaluate programme effectiveness and competency development. Develop and coach departmental trainers and training champions. Lead key training programmes and develop effective training materials, toolkits, and learning resources. Measurement & Reporting: Establish KPIs to measure training effectiveness, employee capability, service quality, guest satisfaction, and leadership development. Provide regular training reports and recommendations to senior management. Track participation, completion, assessment results, and business impact. Education: & Experience: Strong experience: in training strategy, Training Needs Analysis, service excellence, leadership development, facilitation, employee development, and competency building. Proven experience: working across multiple departments and/or hotel properties. 8–12 years' progressive experience: in hospitality training, learning and development, HR, talent development, or related functions. Strong understanding of luxury hotel operations and guest-service standards. Master’s Degree or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, Organisational Development, or a related discipline. Experience: working in Lagos, Abuja, or other African/emerging hospitality markets is an advantage. At least 3–5 years in a senior Training, L&D, Talent Development, or People Development leadership role.
