We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Cardiology Nurses to join our cardiac care team at the Awka branch. We are committed to providing excellent, specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in a professional and patient-centered environment. Responsibilities: Educate patients and families on heart-healthy lifestyle, medication adherence, risk factor modification, and disease management. Monitor cardiac rhythms using ECG machines and telemetry systems; interpret basic ECG traces and report abnormalities promptly. Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams. Assist cardiologists during consultations, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiac procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with hospital protocols. Perform wound care, IV cannulation, and other clinical procedures specific to cardiac patients. Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, hypertension, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures. Administer cardiac medications, IV therapies, and emergency drugs as prescribed. Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions (CPR, defibrillation, etc.). Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and cardiac care protocols. Qualifications Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an added advantage. Minimum of 2–3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in cardiology, CCU, or critical care. Valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed) where applicable. Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) or Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from a recognized institution. Requirements: & Skills: Strong clinical skills in cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development. Valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused attitude. Computer literate with basic knowledge of hospital information systems. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced cardiac unit.
