Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals. Responsibilities: Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying potential disparities between PO and delivery notes/shipping manifest, and reporting them, and store in accordance with standards and policies Ensuring good storage conditions of all commodities, including cold chain commodities, based on their unique requirements: and in accordance with set standards to ensure commodity continuous availability . Ensuring correct fill-in entries on the bin cards and warehouse management software. Ensure that equipment is received and assets management functions are performed. Ensure that monthly, annual stock counting and spot checks are undertaken systematically and periodically Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock outs, expiry dates and commodities to expire in the following 6 months. Ensuring that items to be quarantined (batch recalls, expired or damaged items) are removed from the stock and safely locked. Controlling warehouse facilities to ensure commodities are kept in good condition, it includes e.g. monitoring temperature in the warehouse and ensuring that products requiring cold chain are suitably stored, received, and prepared to be shipped appropriately according to set standards and required shipping protocols. May perform other duties and responsibilities: as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training roles. Qualifications Familiarity with logistics and inventory management of health commodities Good working knowledge of MS Office package (Excel, Word). Experience: with warehouse management software is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with good organizational, time management and prioritization skills. Ethical conduct in accordance with established organizational codes of ethics. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, resourceful, solutions oriented and results-oriented Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, stand for long hours and lift minimum of 20kg. Physical Capabilities Lifting: Requires lifting materials over 25 lbs. Ability to climb, pull, and lift heavy objects. Operating motor vehicles, machinery, and/or power tools.
