This is a high-impact management role for a professional who understands the dynamics of the IMTO, international remittance, payments, and Nigerian financial services industry and can work closely with the Managing Director to drive business growth and operational excellence. Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Manager to oversee business performance, coordinate key functions, and drive the execution of strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Review commercial proposals, partnership opportunities, pitch decks, and business terms before submission to clients or partners. Lead management meetings and ensure departmental heads remain accountable for agreed KPIs and deliverables. Coordinate and align Business Development, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Technology teams. Support the MD with budgeting, financial performance reviews, business reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Drive and monitor the company's commercial performance, including revenue, transaction volumes, pipeline, and business growth. Identify and develop new business and revenue opportunities within the remittance and payments ecosystem. Ensure strategic initiatives are implemented effectively and business priorities are followed through to completion. Translate the MD's strategic objectives into clear execution plans, timelines, and measurable deliverables. Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and risks. Requirements: Proven experience: working directly within an IMTO is highly required. Experience: in a fast-growing or scaling IMTO/fintech business will be an added advantage. Demonstrated experience: managing cross-functional teams and delivering measurable business results. High emotional intelligence and the ability to effectively manage relationships across different levels of an organisation. Ability to develop and implement strategic execution plans with clear KPIs, timelines, and accountability. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong understanding of business development, partnerships, and revenue growth strategies. Strong understanding of the Nigerian remittance, payments, and CBN regulatory environment. Strong commercial and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse business performance, revenue, transaction volumes, and profitability. Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience: in an IMTO, international remittance, payments, fintech, or related financial services environment.
