The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medicines while delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs. Stay updated on developments in pharmaceutical practice through continuous professional development. Participate in medication therapy management and clinical decision-making. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff where applicable. Manage medication inventory, including stock control, expiry monitoring, and procurement requests. Counsel patients on the safe use of medications, including dosage, administration, side effects, interactions, and storage. Accurately review, prepare, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and professional standards. Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and provide appropriate pharmaceutical interventions. Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies. Maintain accurate patient medication records and ensure confidentiality always. Verify prescription accuracy and resolve any medication-related issues with prescribers when necessary. Requirements: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and patient counseling skills. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. Valid practicing license with the relevant Pharmacy Regulatory Authority (PCN). Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety, and pharmaceutical regulations. Demonstrated ability to remain composed, exercise sound judgment, and make well-reasoned decisions in high-pressure or fast-paced clinical environments. Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience: in a hospital, community, or retail pharmacy (preferred). Salary N200,000 / month.
