Chauffeur / Administrative Clerk Job Type Full Time Qualification Secondary School (SSCE) Experience: 3 years Location Abuja Job Field Administration / Facilities , Driving Summary: The U.S. Embassy Abuja, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Chauffeur/Administrative Clerk position. Duties Incumbent operates fully armored and lightly armored vehicles for transporting Embassy senior personnel and visiting senior officials in Abuja to various high-level meetings in Both Abuja and Lagos. Incumbent serves as alternate Supervisor in designated Supervisor’s absence providing guidance while maintaining the overall work schedule of the team. Incumbent is also responsible for engaging with GSO Travel and Motor Pool to ensure proper support to Embassy personnel and its visitors. The incumbent must also be intimately familiar with local routes and road conditions in the event alternate routes are required to avoid impromptu violent protests. Preventive vehicle maintenance is imperative, incumbent ensures proper care and maintenance of vehicle fleet, while also keeping vehicles clean inside and out. Serve as a cash custodian, crafts procurement plans as needed and follows disseminated. Education: Requirements: Completion of High School is required. Experience: At least three (3) years prior work experience: in performing chauffeur/administrative duties is required. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of Nigerian traffic laws, local area roads, government facilities, Embassies and Consulates, restaurants and shops is required. Skills And Abilities: Must have a valid, current driver’s license for a car. Must have had a valid Nigeria driver's license for a minimum of five (5) years.
