We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Production Manager Location: Apapa, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Work Location: In person Job Summary The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising all production activities within the factory. The person will ensure production targets are achieved, product quality is maintained, machines are properly managed, and production is carried out safely and efficiently. We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Production Manager to oversee our production activities and ensure smooth manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have experience: in manufacturing, preferably in smartcard production, printing, plastic card production, security printing, or related industries. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Supervision: Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities. Ensure production schedules are followed and targets are achieved. Monitor production output to ensure timely delivery of products. Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth workflow. Smartcard Manufacturing Operations: Reduce downtime and improve production efficiency. Supervise smartcard manufacturing processes including card printing, personalization, chip embedding, packaging, and quality checks. Monitor machine performance and report faults for quick repairs. Ensure machines and equipment are properly utilized for maximum output. Quality Control & Process Improvement: Work closely with the QC/QA team to maintain product quality standards. Ensure all products meet company and customer requirements. Monitor production defects and take corrective action. Identify ways to reduce waste and improve production processes. Team Management: Supervise production staff and ensure proper work coordination. Ensure workers follow company policies and safety procedures. Train and guide production staff for better performance. Monitor staff attendance, discipline, and productivity. Inventory & Material Management: Ensure production materials are available when needed. Keep accurate production records and reports. Monitor the use of raw materials to avoid waste. Work with the store and procurement team for proper stock management. Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with operational and manufacturing standards. Maintain a clean and safe production environment. Ensure factory safety rules are followed at all times. Requirements: Ability to supervise teams and manage production schedules. Experience: in smartcard manufacturing, plastic card production, commercial printing, security printing, packaging, or related manufacturing industry will be an added advantage. Good report writing and communication skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Good problem-solving and decision making skills. Minimum of 5 years working experience: in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Production Management, Management, Business Administration or related field. Strong attention to quality and details. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good knowledge of production planning and factory operations.
