Fleet Officer Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: 0 - 2 years Location Lagos Job Field Engineering / Technical , Logistics Job Summary The Fleet Officer will assist in the day-to-day management, coordination, and monitoring of the company’s fleet of vehicles. The role involves ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained, documentation is up to date, vehicle movements are monitored, and drivers comply with company policies and safety standards. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn fleet and transport operations. Key Responsibilities: Monitor the daily movement and utilization of company vehicles. Maintain accurate records of all vehicles, including registration, insurance, licensing, servicing, and maintenance schedules. Assist in scheduling routine vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections. Follow up with drivers regarding vehicle condition, maintenance needs, and operational issues. Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report any faults, damages, or irregularities. Ensure all fleet vehicles have valid and up-to-date documentation. Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and other vehicle-related expenses. Maintain records of fuel consumption and assist in identifying unusual fuel usage or discrepancies. Track vehicle maintenance history and ensure preventive maintenance is carried out as scheduled. Assist in coordinating vehicle allocation and deployment based on operational requirements. Monitor driver compliance with company policies, road safety regulations, and assigned routes. Document accidents, breakdowns, vehicle damages, and other fleet-related incidents. Liaise with mechanics, workshops, vendors, and service providers when required. Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly fleet reports for management. Maintain an updated database of company vehicles and assigned drivers. Support the Fleet Manager and Operations team with other fleet-related administrative duties. Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager. Requirements: Minimum of B.Sc. in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, or any related discipline. 0–2 years of relevant work experience. Fresh graduates with an interest in fleet, logistics, automobile, or transport operations are encouraged to apply. Basic knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word . Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare basic reports. A valid driver’s licence is an added advantage.
