The role is based at a reputable multi-specialist hospital in Nigeria and works closely with the Deputy Chief Laboratory Scientist and the Chief Laboratory Scientist. Responsibilities: Supervise laboratory testing and section work, ensuring standards and throughput. Support rostering, workload allocation and skill-mix. Support biosafety compliance, audit and quality assurance. Supervise, support and appraise junior laboratory staff. Provide senior supervision of laboratory operations, supporting the deputy/head in leading the service. Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) from a recognised institution. Completion of the required national internship and NYSC, or a valid exemption where applicable. Experience: Substantial post-registration experience: in medical laboratory science practice. Experience: supervising and supporting junior medical laboratory science staff. Experience: contributing to quality assurance and service improvement.
