The Internal Auditor will collaborate with various departments, support risk management initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement of governance and control frameworks. Day-to-day responsibilities: include planning and executing audit engagements, testing internal controls, reviewing financial transactions and records, and preparing clear, comprehensive audit reports for management. The role also involves identifying process and control weaknesses, recommending practical improvements, and following up on the implementation of audit recommendations. Qualifications High level of integrity, professional judgment, and the ability to work independently and within a team in a structured environment. Solid understanding of finance and financial audits, including audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and identify risks and control gaps. Demonstrated experience: in internal audit, external audit, or risk management, preferably within banking or financial services. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing audit reports and documentation, with attention to accuracy and clarity. Knowledge of Nigerian banking regulations, mortgage banking operations, and internal control frameworks.
