Our mission : Bring to lifestock farmers in Nigeria the guarantee of a unique quality of natural performing products and expertise. Thanks to our team of veterinaries, nutritionists and technicians, we offer to our customers the commitment of personnalized advisory support in the formulation of food, and continuous improvement of the nutritional quality of premix, additives, mineral foods and nutritional specialties tailor-made for the animal sector in Nigeria. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Social Media & Content Associate (NYSC) Location: Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Nysc Role Summary This is not simply a posting role. We need someone who is naturally curious, highly online, aware of trends and platform culture, and able to turn ideas into engaging content without needing every step mapped out for them. We are looking for a creative, digitally native Social Media & Content Associate to support content creation and social media management across Feed Avenue Ltd and Sahel Botanicals. The ideal candidate is a strong video editor and content creator who can think independently, contribute original ideas, work to deadlines, engage audiences and potential customers, and take ownership of their work from idea to execution. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation & Planning: Support the creation of carousels and standalone graphics. Develop original content ideas and experiment with new formats, styles and approaches. Write platform-appropriate captions and post copy. Create a minimum of 4 video contents weekly across Feed Avenue and Sahel Botanicals. Ensure balanced coverage of relevant products, sectors and brand priorities. Review, understand and take ownership of all work before submission. Develop and maintain monthly content calendars. Edit short and long-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Trends & Research: Track developments within agriculture, animal nutrition, livestock, agribusiness and related industries. Regularly bring new formats, references, editing styles and content opportunities to the team. Keep up with social media, cultural and industry trends relevant to both brands. Social Media & Community Management: Monitor and respond promptly to comments, DMs, mentions and inquiries. Identify and engage potential customers and social media leads. Manage content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube. Maintain the agreed brand voice across interactions. Escalate qualified leads, complaints and technical inquiries appropriately. Schedule and publish approved content accurately and on time. Reporting & Workflow: Prepare weekly and monthly social media reports and identify opportunities for improvement. Meet agreed deadlines and communicate early where a blocker may affect delivery. Provide progress updates without needing repeated follow-up. Record instructions and action points during meetings and follow through on them. Apply feedback accurately and resubmit corrections within agreed timelines. Track content and advertising performance and maintain records of inquiries and leads. Requirements: Strong understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube. Strong working knowledge of CapCut, including the desktop/PC version. BA / BSc/ HND Strong short-form and workable long-form video editing skills and practical experience. Graphic design skills with a good eye for layout, typography and visual hierarchy. Applicants must either have been deployed or be scheduled for deployment under theNational Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Nigeria at the time of application. Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail. Must have at least 10 months remaining in their service year. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently. Good social media copywriting, analytics and reporting skills. Good working knowledge of Canva and Meta Business Suite. Experience: creating social media content and content calendars. The Kind of Person We Are Looking For: Open to feedback and able to apply it consistently. AI tools may be used to support the work, but should not replace independent thinking, brand understanding, quality control or ownership. Able to explain and defend their creative decisions and submitted work. Accountable and organised, particularly with deadlines, communication and follow-through. Independent but collaborative, able to own a brief while contributing well within a team. Curious and resourceful, actively researching and bringing ideas rather than waiting for them. Creative and experimental, with an instinct for trying new things. Digitally native and chronically online, noticing trends, memes, formats and shifts in platform culture. Experience: & Portfolio: Formal communications qualifications are useful but are not more important than demonstrated creative ability, digital awareness, reliability and willingness to learn. A portfolio showing both video editing and graphic design work is compulsory and must be submitted for consideration. Previous experience: creating social media content, managing a brand page, freelancing or running a personal content platform is strongly preferred. Salary N100,000 - N150,000 per month.
