Our client is a tertiary healthcare facility providing specialised care in oncology, cardiovascular medicine, renal care, advanced surgery and diagnostic services. Job Summary We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Cardiac ICU Nurses to provide specialized critical care to patients before and after cardiac surgery and other complex cardiovascular procedures. The successful candidates will provide continuous monitoring, advanced nursing interventions, medication management, and coordinated multidisciplinary care for critically ill cardiac patients in accordance with international standards and evidence-based practice. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in the Cardiac ICU. Monitor patients requiring mechanical ventilation, invasive monitoring, and other advanced life-support interventions. Conduct continuous monitoring and assessment of cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and haemodynamic status. Assist with emergency resuscitation and advanced life-support interventions. Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and cardiac emergencies. Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and clinical records. Monitor drains, lines, catheters, wounds, and other postoperative devices. Monitor and manage postoperative cardiac surgery patients, including patients requiring ventilatory and haemodynamic support. Administer medications, vasoactive agents, anticoagulants, and other therapies safely according to prescribed protocols. Requirements: Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills. Competence in advanced patient monitoring, mechanical ventilation, haemodynamic monitoring, and emergency response. Minimum of three (3) years of ICU/critical care nursing experience, with cardiac ICU experience: highly desirable. Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based nursing practice. Current BLS and ACLS certification. Experience: caring for postoperative cardiac surgery patients is strongly preferred. Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc), Registered Nurse (RN), or equivalent recognized qualification. Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
