We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Application Engineer Location : Port Harcourt, Rivers Responsibilities: Operations: Support field execution through troubleshooting and technical assistance when required. Lead design and simulation of assigned jobs. Collaborate with Operations Supervisors to ensure jobs are executable and resourced effectively. Provide pre-job technical reviews and post-job reports to customers. Complete internal PEER review, briefs and de-briefs as per service design standards. Safety & Compliance: Supervisors and Managers should demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises. Quality: Own the accuracy and quality of designs, models, and technical deliverables for assigned scopes. Embed lessons learned and service quality improvements into future work. Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System. Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement. Communication: Maintains effective communication with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate, external. Present designs, forecasts, and lessons learned directly to customers. Supervisors and Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities: to their reports. Maintain effective communication with BD, Ops, Workshop, and Supply Chain to deliver seamless service. Act as the primary technical and commercial focal point for assigned customer accounts. Financial: Upselling additional services or technologies. Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure. Take accountability for the financial performance of assigned scopes, tracking variances against forecast. Collaborate with the Technical Business Development Lead to escalate and pursue growth opportunities. Maximize commercial return on assigned customer accounts through: Identifying opportunities for bundling, optimization, and contract harvesting. Ensuring full compliance with contract terms and invoicing requirements. All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible, whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses. Ensure accurate forecasting of revenue, costs, and utilization for assigned customer accounts. People & Development: Supervisors should collaborate with Human Resources and Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment and retention of key personnel and to foster an environment that supports the attraction and retention of a high performing talented workforce. Supervisors are expected to actively engage their employees to support talent management through Weatherford’s performance management process, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning and regular coaching opportunities. Qualifications & Experience: Required 3+ years of experience: working in deep water locations. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent). Proven customer-facing experience: with direct accountability for scopes. Strong technical design and simulation capability. Proficiency with design and modelling tools (Victus, Drillbench). Customer relationship management skills with ability to influence and upsell. Commercial awareness and accountability for financial outcomes. Effective communicator, capable of presenting confidently to customers. Strong commercial acumen with experience: in revenue/cost forecasting. 5+ years of experience: in managed pressure drilling product operations. Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously. Strong project management skills. Qualifications & Experience: Preferred: Familiarity with JDE, Windchill, and SalesForce. Exposure to subsea, HPHT, or complex well environments, including Hydrogen and CCUS. Ability to link technical solutions to customer value and contract profitability. Experience: in upselling or developing incremental revenue opportunities within customer accounts. Experience: in account management or technical sales support. Knowledge of digital simulation advancements and data-driven optimization.
