Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Senior level Experience Length: 10 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for the organisation's programmes and interventions. Translate organisational goals into impactful programme strategies and implementation plans. Develop systems and processes that improve programme effectiveness and operational efficiency. Lead, coach, and mentor Programme Managers and Coordinators to achieve organisational objectives. Programme Design & Implementation: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programmes across the organisation's thematic areas. Develop programme frameworks, implementation plans, and quality assurance systems. Ensure all programmes align with organisational goals and donor expectations. Oversee complex, multi-sector development projects from inception to completion. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL): Develop and oversee Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) frameworks. Establish programme KPIs and reporting systems to measure impact and outcomes. Lead programme reviews and ensure data-driven decision-making. Coordinate the preparation of programme reports for management and stakeholders. Leadership & Capacity Development: Build and lead high-performing programme teams. Identify capacity gaps and coordinate coaching, mentoring, and professional development. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage programme budgets. Ensure efficient utilisation of financial and material resources. Monitor programme expenditures and ensure compliance with approved budgets. Support organisational sustainability through effective resource planning. Risk Management & Compliance: Identify programme risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with donor requirements, safeguarding standards, and relevant regulations. Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical programme implementation. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with government agencies, development partners, community leaders, and other stakeholders. Collaborate across departments to ensure integrated programme delivery. Represent the organisation at meetings, forums, and stakeholder engagements. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Project Management, or a related field. (A master's degree is an added advantage.) Minimum of 10 years' experience in Programme Management, Development, Humanitarian, or NGO operations. Proven experience leading large-scale development or humanitarian programmes. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and programme lifecycle management. Experience developing Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) frameworks. Demonstrated experience managing programme budgets and donor-funded projects. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
