We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Bid & Tender Engineer Location: Surulere, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Bid & Tender Engineer to manage the end-to-end bid and tender process within the Nigerian oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of preparing winning proposals, sound knowledge of industrial statutory laws/regulations and ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality tender submissions through major procurement platforms. Key Responsibilities: Identify, analyze, and evaluate bid and tender opportunities. Ensure compliance with Nigerian oil and gas regulatory requirements, including NUPRC, NOGIC, NCEC, and other relevant certifications. Collaborate with other departments (engineering, procurement, finance, HSE, and project execution teams) for bid preparation and submission. Manage NIPEX bid submissions and other client procurement portals. Develop competitive bid strategies, pricing, and proposal structures. Coordinate vendor pre-qualification exercises. Review bid invitations, scopes of work, drawings, and technical specifications to understand tender/bid requirements: and develop responsibility matrix. Prepare, compile, review, and submit complete tender documentation. Conduct technical bid evaluations and source technical partners where required. Utilize e-procurement platforms such as ARIBA, SMART GEP, and similar systems. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely submissions. Requirements: Technical Skills: Strong background in cost estimation, reading blueprints/drawings, and risk assessment. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of working background in bidding, tendering, or proposal writing within EPC, operations and maintenance services in oil and gas fields. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline (or Sciences background with knowledge of supply chain/business analysis). The prospective candidate must be experienced in bid and tender management within the Nigerian oil and gas industry. Soft Skills: Excellent writing, strict time management, organization, and communication skills to handle high-pressure deadlines. Software Proficiency: High literacy in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), proficiency in ERP systems (NIPEX, SAP-ARIBA, SMART GEP etc.), and industry-specific estimating and e-tendering/e-procurement tools.
