We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Inventory Officer Location: Ikotun-Idimu, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities: Coordinating with suppliers to manage orders and deliveries. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues as it concerns delivery, pricing, and delivery Generating reports and analyzing inventory data to optimize stock levels. Collaborating with store staff to ensure accurate product placement and availability. Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw materials to identify shortages Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures Monitoring and tracking inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Place orders to replenish stock, avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus Analyze inventory data and conduct regular assessments to identify slow-moving or obsolete items. Organizing and maintaining the inventory storage areas. Performing regular stock audits and reconciling discrepancies. Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships Generate inventory reports detailing stock levels, turnover rates, and inventory aging Assisting with the implementation of inventory management systems. Record daily deliveries to reconcile inventory Collaborate with suppliers and ensure delivery of goods Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience: in inventory management or a related role, preferably in a retail or supermarket environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Additional certifications in inventory management or a related field are a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
