This role is the engine room of the agency\'s financial function driving cash flow agility, disciplined budget control, and flawless tax compliance across all digital campaigns, technology implementations, and corporate entities. We\'re looking for someone hands-on, proactive, and highly analytical someone who thrives under the fast pace and high stakes of a leading digital agency in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities: Operational Financial Management & Accounting Oversee daily accounting operations, revenue assurance, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR). Ensure real-time posting and billing accuracy across client retainers, ad-spend budgets, media buying costs, and technical project scopes. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close, preparing full financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) in compliance with IFRS and Nigerian GAAP. Manage payroll processing, statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF), and vendor payout schedules. Cash Flow & Working Capital Optimization Drive assertive accounts receivable management, keeping DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) within company benchmarks. Build and maintain robust 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts to anticipate working capital gaps and optimize treasury operations. Manage vendor relationships (media partners, tech platforms, sub-contractors) to maximize credit terms while protecting agency credibility. Resolve billing disputes, negotiate client credit terms, and recover overdue accounts, assertively and diplomatically. Campaign & Client Profitability Analysis Partner with Account Managers and Project Directors to evaluate real-time campaign- and client-level profit margins. Conduct variance analysis comparing budgeted vs. actual project costs (media spend, overhead allocation, resource hours). Deliver commercial recommendations to optimize pricing models, fee structures, and media markups. Tax, Legal & Statutory Compliance Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax regulations (FIRS and LIRS), including timely computation and remittance of WHT, VAT, CIT, and PAYE. Track and manage recovery of Withholding Tax (WHT) credit notes from clients. Represent the agency during internal, external, and government tax audits (FIRS/LIRS). Financial Controls, Risk & Governance Maintain rigorous internal controls, approval authority matrices, and fraud-prevention frameworks. Conduct routine reconciliations of bank accounts, payment gateways, inter-company balances, and vendor statements. Safeguard financial assets, manage risk exposure, and maintain complete digital audit trails for all transactions. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: & Certification : B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. ICAN, ACA, or ACCA certification required. Experience: 6–10 years post-qualification accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years as a Finance Manager or Lead Operational Accountant. Digital agency, media, tech, or professional services background strongly preferred. Software: Advanced proficiency in cloud accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, Sage, Zoho Books, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling). Tax Expertise: Deep, practical mastery of Nigerian tax law: FIRS TaxPro-Max, LIRS filings, WHT recovery workflows, and statutory compliance.
