We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Peri- Operative Nurse Location: Ughelli, Delta Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The Peri-Operative Nurse will support surgical procedures by providing high-quality nursing care before, during, and after operations. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards Maintain accurate surgical records and adhere to safety and quality protocols Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment Collaborate with the surgical team to improve workflow and patient experience. Prepare operating rooms and ensure the availability of required instruments and equipment Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition throughout the perioperative phase Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, including patient assessment, documentation and recovery support Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniquesand operating room (OR)protocols Certification or formal training in perioperative nursing is an added advantage Previous experience: in surgical or theatre nursing settings Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
