We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Solar Installer - Minigrid Project Location: Delta Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities: Follow company HSE procedures and safe-working practices at all times. Assemble and secure solar mounting structures and ensure proper alignment of PV modules. Inspect installed components and identify loose connections, damaged equipment or installation defects. Report technical problems, material shortages and site challenges to the Site Supervisor. Properly handle solar panels, batteries and other equipment to prevent damage. Work safely at heights and follow appropriate fall-protection procedures where required. Install solar PV panels, mounting structures and associated equipment according to approved designs and specifications. Work closely with electricians, technicians, engineers and other members of the installation team. Perform basic electrical testing and assist with system commissioning. Assist with troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of solar PV systems. Carry out DC and AC cabling, cable routing, termination and connection under appropriate technical supervision. - Assist with the installation of inverters, batteries, charge controllers, combiner boxes and other solar system components. Properly use and maintain installation tools, testing equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the worksite remains clean and organized. Complete assigned installation activities within project schedules and quality requirements. Requirements: Ability to understand basic installation drawings, layouts and instructions. Previous experience: working on solar farms, mini-grids, commercial solar installations or similar projects is an advantage. Knowledge of workplace HSE requirements: and proper use of PPE. Technical Certificate, Trade Test, NABTEB, OND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Basic understanding of solar PV systems and their major components. Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding installation activities. Ability to use hand tools, power tools and basic electrical testing equipment. Willingness to work outdoors and at project locations, including rural areas in Delta State. Knowledge of basic electrical wiring, cable termination and electrical safety. Practical experience: in solar PV installation or electrical installation is preferred.
