We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Engineering - Wells Advisor III Location: Lagos Main Functions The Wells Advisor job role is meant to convey the generic kinds of experiences and skill proficiencies of a late-career/ Expert-competency level individual in this role. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Resources should be well versed in drilling, well, or construction operations. Wells Advisors typically have expertise in one or more job family skills and serve as resources to mentor and develop the broader organization. Wells Advisors are essential in order to mentor and advise drilling and completion engineers on well planning, well design, and operational surveillance for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs. Tasks and Responsibilities: In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 must: Assist in development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test procedures Mentor and interface with less-experienced drilling and completion engineers. Participate in vendor clarifications, FAT’s and package acceptance Interface with Affiliate / Business Unit on Logistics, Environmental, Regulatory, Procurement and Cost Stewardship activities. Develop and lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies. Review drawings and specifications Provide oversight of Drilling programs, and ensure continuity and consistency in practices across multiple rig lines. Support construction and commissioning efforts as required Make continuous effort to improve efficiencies in Drilling and Completion operations. Review and respond to spec deviation requests Address human factors engineering as well as safety of personnel and equipment (in conjunction with Topsides and/or O&M contractor) Skills and Qualfiications Adaptability to changing priorities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experienc erequired in construction site management, preferably familiar with Drilling well site design Ability to organize and progress own work schedule Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO) Extensive experience: in Drilling Rig development including FEED, Detail Design, Construction and Commissioning Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Civil preferably) Advanced analytical and computing skills Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations.
