We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Junior Marketer (Media) Location: Lagos Island, Lagos Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Marketing & Business Development Reports To: Executive Director (Sales)/Head of Marketing Job Summary The role involves prospecting for clients, making sales presentations, developing business relationships, following up on leads, securing partnerships and supporting revenue generation across the company's various business lines. The successful candidate will support the marketing and sales of the company’s radio and television programmes, media advertising opportunities, event coverage services, broadcast media academy, professional training and capacity-building programmes, award events, hotel and hospitality partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and other media-related products and services. We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious, target-driven and personable Junior Marketer to join our growing media company in Lagos. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence in approaching prospective clients, a strong interest in the media and entertainment industry, and the determination to meet and exceed sales targets. Responsibilities: Media Product Sales: Identify opportunities for programme sponsorship, segment sponsorship, product placement, advertising and branded content. Promote available advertising opportunities across radio, television and digital platforms. Market and sell the company's radio and television programmes and shows to individuals, brands, organisations and corporate clients. Follow up consistently with prospects to convert leads into paying clients. Develop and present media proposals to prospective advertisers and sponsors. Event Coverage & Media Services: Build relationships with event planners, PR agencies, event centres and corporate organisations. Market the company's event coverage and media production services to corporate organisations, government agencies, NGOs, hotels, schools, associations and private clients. Generate leads for coverage of conferences, launches, award ceremonies, weddings, corporate events, political events and other major occasions. Prepare and communicate appropriate service packages and quotations in collaboration with the relevant departments. Hotel & Hospitality Partnerships: Build a database of hotels, hospitality brands and other potential strategic partners. Identify hotels and hospitality businesses that can benefit from media partnerships and promotional opportunities. Develop partnerships for hotel promotions, radio/TV features, advertising, event coverage and corporate packages. Maintain regular contact with existing hotel partners and identify opportunities for repeat business. Broadcast Media Academy & Training Sales: Develop relationships with schools, tertiary institutions, businesses, government agencies and professional organisations. Approach organisations for staff training, capacity building and professional development programmes. Generate individual and corporate enrolments for training programmes. Promote courses in broadcasting, journalism, presentation, production, digital media and other relevant areas. Market the company's Broadcast Media Academy and professional training programmes. Awards & Special Events: Market and promote the company's award events, sponsorship packages and partnership opportunities. Build relationships with brands and organisations interested in associating with the company's award platforms and events. Identify potential sponsors, nominees, partners and advertisers. Support sponsorship acquisition and fulfilment. Lead Generation & Prospecting: Maintain an updated database of prospects and clients. Proactively identify potential clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, social media, business directories, events and personal contacts. Generate and qualify leads before passing them through the sales process. Conduct regular market research to identify new business opportunities. Client Relationship Management: Conduct regular follow-ups to understand client needs and identify additional sales opportunities. Maintain professional communication with clients through calls, emails, WhatsApp and face-to-face meetings. Ensure that clients receive appropriate information and timely responses. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Marketing & Business Development Support: Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback on market trends and opportunities. Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns for the company's products and services. Attend business meetings, exhibitions, conferences, networking events and industry functions to promote the company. Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, rate cards, sponsorship decks and marketing materials. Sales Reporting: Track progress against assigned targets. Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, meetings, proposals, conversions and sales. Requirements: Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies or a related field. Candidates with strong sales experience: and relevant industry knowledge may also be considered. Relevant professional marketing or sales certification is an advantage. Experience: Fresh graduates with excellent communication, sales and networking abilities may be considered. 1–2 years of experience: in marketing, sales, business development, media sales, advertising, telecommunications, hospitality or a related field is preferred.
