We are currently looking for Subsea Wells Superintendent to join its work force in Nigeria. Description Service Purpose: The Subsea Wells Superintendent role is designed to achieve the following objectives: Guarantee personnel and equipment availability and mobilization offshore to the rig & OIMR / LWI vessels, minimal NPTs during operations and HSE incidents. Ensure that all operational requirements: are proactively managed Monitor SPS contractors’ performance (KPI) for service delivery for offshore operations, equipment maintenance etc. Service Dimensions: Provide supervisory oversight to the offshore subsea supervisors, while supporting the Drilling / Rig Superintendents to ensure safe and efficient operations and wells delivery. Drive personal and team compliance with HSE rules, company standards, and ethical requirements. The role provides technical support to the onshore subsea / completion service base team and SPS contractors (OneSubsea, TechnipFMC, Exprotech, Diamould, Fugro-impROV, Halliburton, OAL) and validates subsea and workover operations to ensure well delivery objectives are met. Work collaboratively with HSE, FOPS, HQ, C&P, finance, logistics, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operational execution. The Subsea Well Superintendent ensures full compliance with company's policies, standards, code of conduct, and HSE requirements: while providing operational leadership across subsea activities. Support delivery of 8–10 deepwater wells annually through effective planning and offshore coordination. Supervise up to 15 service contractor personnel per operation (up to 4 x offshore subsea supervisors are direct reports). HSE: Ensures continuous reporting of safety and environmental concerns/incidents within his / her team. Maintains awareness of and ensures compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards. Actively participates in Company safety awareness / initiative schemes and audits to ensure the contractors under his/her responsibility are compliant. Demonstrates personal commitment to company's EP’s HSE Policy. Acts as the Focal point for Safety, technical and operational/maintenance for all subsea activities (including but not limited to SERS / WERP & BOCP procedure updates) at onshore office location. Is certified (IWCF) and contributes to the prevention of COMPANY's biggest industrial risk (Loss of well control / well blow out). S/He is part of the on-site management emergency response team and provides technical knowledge Ensures and verifies that a valid PTW has been compiled and put in place for each operational task, with all associated risks captured. Service Content: Focal point for all offshore operations and provide support to Onne Subsea Superintendent and completion Engineer for onshore preparatory aspects that impact upon readiness, maintenance, and mobilization of personnel / equipment to the rig, OIMR & LWI vessels (based on up-to-date operational schedules). Profile: Continuation on Service Content: Facilitate post-operational debrief sessions and log lessons learned arising from operational activities for continually improving performance (i.e., minimize NPT, reinforce best practices etc.). Drives a LEAN, 3C, cost rationalization and continuous improvement culture throughout the well delivery cycle. Cost follow up and reporting to each DW technical entity on budget line / Call Off expenditures. Interface with DW Stock control to ensure proper tracking of materials and spares under COMPANY'S custody and control, related to contractor Base activities. Submit and file A3 reports / non-conformance reports / close out reports for RCAs and operational RAs. The role will also ensure that necessary actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence. Prepare and participate in contractor audits – HSE, SCM, and SQM activities and propose ways of continually minimizing costs, enabling higher quality, and improving performance. Ensure that offshore Work Instructions, Management of Change (MoC), and the issuance of Well Handover & End of Well Reports (Short and Long) are correctly developed and submitted on time. Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Risk Assessments (RA) for activities and ensure that supervisors promptly. Procurement process in line with budget and operational requirements, and related administration / reporting / tracking. Participate in engineering scopes for well construction activities i.e., maintenance and availability of tools and equipment, operational programs, reviews (for HAZID / HAZOPs, Well-on-Paper exercises etc.), and accurate reporting. Maintain good technical interface with other entities – HQ, HSE, Assets, Drilling, Well Integrity Group, and GSR for business and operational requirements. Proper spares management implementation by Contractor (storage, segregation, inventory, robust obsolescence management etc.) to assure operation and maintenance tasks are executed as scheduled. Support technical aspect (interface engineering, logistics support, offshore operation / deployment) of the GoG EDP / LRP / SERS & Subsea dispersants including preparation for BOCP procedures for rig & LWIV operations. Qualifications / Experience: Required Fluent in English (written and spoken). Operational experience: in subsea wells discipline (Drilling & Completions Métier), and knowledge of managing contracts. Individual must be adaptable and proactive, with a methodical mindset. Computer skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications. >10 years of of experience: in Subsea production systems with QA/QC, fabrication & testing with deep water project and contractor management experience. Must be able to coach or drive others towards delivering expected outcomes through clear explanation and persistently. Communicating the benefits: and importance of the deliverables.
