Original source description

247Bet is a next-generation sports betting and gaming platform built for Africa’s vibrant, connected audience. We combine social interaction, entertainment, and responsible gaming to create an experience: that goes beyond placing bets — it’s about community and connection. Graduate Program Job Type Contract , Hybrid Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: 0 - 2 years Location Lagos Job Field Graduate Jobs Programme Description This is a full-time hybrid graduate programme based in Lagos, with 3 days per week in the office. We are hiring a small number of exceptional recent graduates into five defined tracks — and we mean exceptional. We're not looking for people who memorised their way to a degree. We're looking for graduates who think: who break problems down, question assumptions, reason from first principles, and can defend a position under pressure. In return, you won't be fetching coffee or shadowing meetings. From week one you'll do real work on a real product, sit close to the founders, and be given more responsibility than any corporate graduate scheme would trust you with. Our founding team built their careers at companies like Google, Citigroup, and Motorola — and this programme is designed to compress years of that learning into your first eighteen months. The Tracks Engineering — Build the platform itself, with rotations across backend (C#/.NET), frontend (React), data, DevOps, and product before specialising. For graduates who write code, take systems apart to see how they work, and want their software running in production with real money flowing through it. Computer science or a strong technical background expected; a portfolio of things you've built counts for more than your course list. Compliance — For law graduates who want to practise where law meets a fast-moving licensed business: gaming regulation, licensing obligations, regulatory correspondence, contracts, data protection, and responsible gambling frameworks. You'll learn to give advice a business can actually act on, not just recite the rules. KYC & Financial Crime — Learn to verify who our customers are and catch the ones lying about it: identity verification, enhanced due diligence, AML transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity investigation. For pattern-spotters with sharp judgement who enjoy investigation and can document a decision that would survive a regulator's review. Marketing — Growth for a consumer brand in Africa's most competitive betting market: digital acquisition, social and content, campaigns, promotions, and the analytics behind all of it. For creative minds who are also rigorous — every naira of spend here is measured against what it returns. Risk & Sports Trading — The commercial engine of a sportsbook: odds, margins, liability management, customer risk profiling, and trading performance. For deeply numerate graduates — maths, statistics, economics, engineering, or similar — who love sport, think in probabilities, and stay calm making decisions with money on the line. You apply to one track. Choose deliberately — we'll test whether it fits you. What the Programme Looks Like A structured 12–18 month programme within your track, with real ownership from the start: live projects with measurable outcomes, not observer status A named mentor from the senior team in your function, fortnightly one-on-ones, and direct exposure to how founders make decisions Deliberate skills training across the intake: structured problem-solving, data fluency (SQL and analytics), written communication, and the commercial mechanics of a real-money platform Cross-track exposure — engineers learn how trading makes money, marketers learn what compliance permits, everyone learns how the platform actually works Regular stretch assignments where you present your work and recommendations directly to leadership A clear path to a permanent role and rapid progression for those who perform — we are building our future leadership from this intake Who Can Apply You graduated within the last two years (including those completing NYSC) You hold a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) or equivalent — no exceptions Discipline requirements: vary by track: law for Compliance; computer science or strong technical background for Engineering; a quantitative degree for Risk & Sports Trading; any discipline for KYC and Marketing You are based in Lagos or willing to relocate What We're Looking For Genuine intellectual horsepower — a record of excelling academically and outside the classroom Sharp critical thinking: you can take a messy, ambiguous problem, structure it, and reason your way to a defensible answer Curiosity that shows — things you've built, run, written, competed in, or taught yourself that nobody asked you to Numeracy and comfort with data; you don't flinch at a spreadsheet or a percentage Excellent written and spoken English — clear thinking shows up as clear writing Drive and resilience: startup pace, real deadlines, and feedback that's honest because it's meant to make you better Integrity and sound judgement — we operate in a licensed, regulated industry and hold ourselves to that standard Check how your CV aligns with this job Method of Application Send CVs to careers@247bet.ng Build your CV for free.
