The successful candidate will coordinate drilling crews, rigs, maintenance activities, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality drilling performance while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards. The Drilling Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily Core and Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling operations, ensuring drilling targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and within project timelines. Key Responsibilities: Drilling Operations Management: Ensure drilling targets are achieved safely and efficiently. Ensure proper drilling practices, core recovery, and RC sample collection. Plan and allocate drilling rigs, manpower, and drilling activities. Supervise daily Core and RC drilling operations. Monitor drilling production, meterage, downtime, and rig performance. Equipment & Resource Management: Coordinate with the maintenance team for equipment breakdowns and repairs. Monitor drilling consumables, fuel usage, and equipment utilization. Ensure maximum rig productivity and operational efficiency. Health, Safety & Compliance: Enforce compliance with HSE standards, site procedures, and PPE requirements. Promote a strong safety culture across all drilling operations. Ensure safe work practices are adhered to at all times. Team Leadership & Reporting: Supervise, mentor, and develop drillers, helpers, and rig crews. Coordinate effectively with Geology, Maintenance, Logistics, and HSE departments. Prepare and submit daily drilling, production, and downtime reports. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Drilling, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience: in both Core Drilling and Reverse Circulation (RC) Drilling is required. 8-10 years' drilling experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory position. Experience: working in remote project locations is desirable. Experience: within mining or mineral exploration projects will be a significant advantage. Candidate Requirements: Strong reporting and problem-solving capabilities. Must be a Nigerian National. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
