We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Christian Religious Studies (CRS) Teacher Location: Enugu Employment Type: Full-time The Role You will play a key role in nurturing the spiritual, moral, and personal development of students, helping them understand Christian values, biblical teachings, and their relevance to everyday life. You will teach Christian Religious Studies to junior and/or senior secondary school students, delivering lessons that are engaging, scripturally grounded, and aligned with the NERDC curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Uphold and promote the school's faith-based values and ethos. Maintain accurate records including attendance registers, lesson notes, and continuous assessment scores. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality CRS lessons at the junior and/or senior secondary school level in line with the NERDC curriculum. Set, mark, and return assignments, tests, and examination papers promptly with constructive feedback. Foster a respectful, orderly, and spiritually enriching classroom environment. Monitor individual student progress and provide appropriate academic and pastoral support. Prepare students thoroughly for WAEC and NECO CRS examinations. Develop and contribute to scheme of work, lesson plans, and departmental resources. Participate in staff meetings, school events, and parent-teacher meetings. Requirements: Essential: Sound CRS subject knowledge and strong communication skills. Strong working knowledge of the NERDC CRS curriculum for secondary schools. NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Certificate for degree holders. Minimum of 2 years' proven teaching experience: in CRS at the secondary school level. Bachelor's degree (B.Ed. or B.A.) in Religious Studies, Christian Religious Education, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education) in Christian Religious Studies or Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK). Ability to produce detailed, structured lesson notes. Preferred / Advantageous: PGDE (Postgraduate Diploma in Education) or equivalent professional teaching qualification. Demonstrable experience: preparing students for WAEC/NECO CRS examinations.
