Read more about this company Financial Analyst: Regulatory Reporting & Tax Management Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: 4 - 5 years Location Lagos Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit Primary Responsibilities: Ensure that all statutory renditions (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) applicable to the Finance unit are rendered as and when due. Assist with monthly tax computations (current and deferred tax calculations and reconciliations); liaise with Tax Consultants on tax-related matters such as tax planning, tax compliance, transfer pricing, withholding taxes, indirect taxes, PAYE, and so on. Provide support for the preparation and review of the accounting policies of the bank in line with existing IFRSs and updating them in line with the release of new IFRS standards. Managing the capital management planning and forecasting for the bank with the aim of optimization of the capital structure and ensuring an appropriate mix of tier I and II capital while monitoring capital adequacy levels alongside the team lead of Financial Reporting. Strong reconciliation skills with the ability to investigate and resolve financial variances. Experience: supporting month-end reporting and financial close processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis and reporting functions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
