Read more about this company Inspection and Coding Specialist Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND , Vocational Experience: Location Anambra City Onitsha Job Field Engineering / Technical The Key Purpose of this role is to perform activities related to inspection and coding optimization and apply VPO principles. The Inspection and Coding Specialist must ensure a safe and healthy working environment and support the installations of process control & relevant electrical systems, as well as to maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Interpret process description specifications and conduct modifications /optimizations of process control software as per specifications and software standards Identify process control software deviations and resolve or recommend solutions Support the process control software change management process Maintain process control software integrity and security Support the development of and upgrade preventative maintenance procedures for inspection & coding systems Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts Maintain working knowledge of new technology instrumentation, software, etc., through reading and/or attending conferences, workshops or other training. Provide engineering/projects support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades and enhancement. Troubleshoot Packaging inspection & coding systems. Maintain a safe & healthy working environment Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and legislation Maintain safety and housekeeping standards Maintain, calibrate, repair equipment and optimize plant and associated devices Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation / systems Plan and prepare the job Carry out repairs / maintenance Continuously improve (optimize) plant, process equipment and systems Operate plant and process equipment Calibrate instruments Work In Teams Communicate effectively in teams Contribute to self and team development Apply the VPO principles & practices All work is carried out using the VPO principles Minimum Requirements: HND or B.Sc. in Engineering Studies Trade tested Millwright or Electrician 3-6 months on the job training plus Vendor Maintenance Routine electrical and instrumentation maintenance or similar.
