We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior Rotating Equipment Specialist / Mentor (Expatriate) Location: Lekki, Lagos (Offshore) Employment Type: Contract Responsibilities: Mentor, coach, and develop technicians through structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) and competency development programs. Promote best maintenance practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze vibration, lubrication, and condition monitoring data to improve equipment reliability and availability. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and applicable industry standards. Provide technical leadership to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance execution. Provide clear technical guidance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and accurately report maintenance activities. Perform advanced troubleshooting of rotating equipment and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions. Interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, OEM manuals, engineering specifications, and technical datasheets to support maintenance planning and execution. Lead and support critical maintenance activities, equipment overhauls, shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and start-up activities. Drive equipment reliability improvement through Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and predictive/preventive maintenance strategies. General Requirements: Extensive field exposure to maintenance execution, shutdowns/turnarounds, and commissioning activities. Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience: in maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of rotating equipment, including centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating compressors, steam and gas turbines, and pumps. Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, mechanical drawings, OEM manuals, and engineering specifications. Demonstrated experience: mentoring, coaching, or leading technicians in a worksite setting, including developing and delivering on-the-job training (OJT) programs. Expert-level knowledge of equipment alignment, precision maintenance, vibration analysis, lubrication systems, and mechanical seals. Strong commitment to HSE standards, familiar with Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) procedures. Proven experience: in heavy industrial environments such as Oil & Gas production/processing (onshore/offshore), refineries, petrochemical, chemical, and Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) plants. Advanced troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) skills.
