As part of our continued expansion, we are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Account and Finance Manager Location: Ogba, Lagos Description We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven and results-oriented Account and Finance Manager to lead our Finance Department and provide strategic financial leadership that supports sustainable business growth. Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Managing Director Leads and supervises the Accounts & Finance Department, including Accounts Officers, Cashier and other Finance Support Staff Works closely with all Departmental Heads to drive financial planning, budgeting, cost control and business performance Job Purpose The role is expected to drive financial discipline, improve profitability and strengthen the Company's financial governance. The Account and Finance Manager is responsible for leading the Finance Department by ensuring sound financial management, effective internal controls, statutory compliance, accurate financial reporting and the provision of timely financial information for strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Monitor cash flow, working capital, treasury activities and liquidity requirements. Develop and monitor annual budgets, departmental budgets and financial forecasts. Ensure full compliance with VAT, WHT, PAYE, Company Income Tax, Pension, NSITE, ITF and other statutory obligations. Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and executive reports. Supervise payroll processing and statutory remittances. Provide timely financial analysis and business performance reports to Management. Advise Executive Management on financial risks, investment opportunities and business performance. Develop, implement and continuously improve financial policies, internal controls and accounting procedures. Analyse operational costs, project profitability and overall business performance. Oversee inventory valuation, fixed asset accounting and financial control of company assets. Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance Department. Manage accounts payable, receivable, invoicing and debt recovery. Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, supplier accounts, customer accounts and the general ledger Coordinate external audits, tax audits and regulatory inspections. Lead and manage the Accounts & Finance Department: Qualification and Experience: The ideal candidate should possess: Demonstrated experience: reporting directly to a Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer or Executive Management. Strong working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, IFRS and financial reporting standards. A minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Candidates should possess a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. Proven experience: in budgeting, financial planning. management reporting, cost accounting and business analysis. Professional qualification such as ACA, FCA, ACCA or ANAN is mandatory. Candidates at the final professional stage may also be considered. Experience: in manufacturing, engineering services, industrial operations or multi-location organisations will be a distinct advantage.
