General Manager Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: 5 years Location Lagos City Lekki Job Field Food, Beverage and Hospitality The Borough Lagos is seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and overall performance of our boutique hotel and restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong hospitality, financial, and people-management skills, capable of driving business growth while maintaining excellent service and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the hotel and restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Lead and manage department heads and operational teams, driving accountability and high performance. Drive revenue growth, profitability, occupancy, and restaurant performance. Monitor budgets, expenses, procurement, inventory, and overall cost control. Maintain high standards of guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, and service delivery. Develop and enforce operational policies, SOPs, and service standards. Monitor hotel and restaurant KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary. Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and development of employees in collaboration with HR. Manage guest complaints and ensure timely and effective service recovery. Work with Finance, HR, Procurement, and other departments to ensure strong operational and financial controls. Identify opportunities for business growth, partnerships, events, and increased revenue. Ensure compliance with health, safety, regulatory, and company requirements. Provide regular reports and performance updates to the Managing Director/Owner. Requirements: & Key Competencies Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 5 years of relevant experience: in hotel, hospitality, restaurant, or related operations , with at least 3 years in a senior management role. Proven experience: managing both hotel and restaurant/F&B operations is highly preferred. Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience: managing budgets, revenue, costs, and inventory. Strong leadership, people-management, and decision-making skills. Excellent understanding of hospitality operations, guest experience, and service standards. Strong problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and organisational skills. High level of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain hands-on when required.
