The internal auditor ensures compliance with financial, operational, and healthcare regulations while improving efficiency and safeguarding organizational assets. Key Responsibilities: Audit Planning & Execution: Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. Develop risk-based annual audit plans. Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits. Risk Management: Identify key risk areas across departments. Support enterprise risk management processes. Assess risk mitigation strategies and recommend improvements. Compliance & Regulatory Audits: Support external audits and regulatory inspections. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and standards. Review adherence to internal policies and procedures. Financial & Operational Audits: Audit procurement, inventory, payroll, and asset management systems. Detect fraud, errors, and inefficiencies. Review financial records, revenue cycles, and expenditures. Reporting & Follow-Up: Prepare clear audit reports with findings and recommendations. Present reports to management and Audit Committee. Track and follow up on implementation of corrective actions. Advisory & Continuous Improvement: Provide advisory support to management on risk and compliance matters.
