Manage and oversee financial operations, planning, and controls to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial performance in support of business objectives Responsibilities: Project Finance & Capex Management (Pre-Commissioning): Maintain the project capex tracker and monitor all project expenditures. Review spending against approved budgets and provide variance analysis. Track commitments, purchase orders, advances, and actual costs across project workstreams. Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure accurate project cost reporting. Ensure compliance with approval limits, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and capitalization policies. Prepare project finance dashboards and capex utilization reports for management review. Monitor Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) and support timely capitalization of completed assets. Support project close-out activities, asset creation, and transition to operations. Plant Finance Leadership (Post-Commissioning): Manage plant accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Lead month-end close and prepare timely MIS reports. Monitor manufacturing costs and perform variance analysis to support operational performance. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements. Inventory, Assets & Governance: Lead inventory counts, reconciliations, variance reviews, and corrective action plans. Monitor inventory controls and analyse ageing, slow-moving, and obsolete stock. Ensure timely capitalization of completed assets and projects. Coordinate asset tagging, physical verification, transfers, and disposals. Ensure compliance with capitalization and depreciation policies. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent Qualified member of ICAN (Chartered Accountant, Nigeria). Post-qualification experience: of 5 – 8 years. Experience: in a Greenfield/Brownfield project environment. Experience: in manufacturing, FMCG, agribusiness, or industrial operations.
