We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Projects - Start-Up Specialist II Location: Lagos Job Type: Full-time Main Functions Start-Up Discipline Specialist (Rotating Machinery, Electrical, Process, Document Control Services (DCS), Instrument) focus on field execution of the start-up activities. The role is characterized by: Detailed knowledge of operating facilities and applicable processes to put in place to manage risk. Collaboration with the Project Team, Affiliate Operations, and Contractor to ensure requirements: for start-up activities and continuous operations are clearly understood and adhered to. Strong technical skills within the specified discipline (e.g., Rotating Machinery, Electrical, Process, Instrumentation). Leadership to ensure project priorities of safety, quality, and schedule are achieved. Tasks and Responsibilities: In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, Level 2: Development and execution of downstream start-up procedures to ensure a safe and efficient start-up of the project Integrated assets. Support the Start-Up Manager in the development and execution of the project Start-Up Plan. Act as the focal point for interfacing with the Operations, Integrated Commissioning, and Facility Engineering Teams to ensure a safe and effective planning and execution of start-up activities Provide unit specific expertise during planning and to the production coordinators during start-up. Work with start-up coordinator & Start-up Manager to ensure that OE/IIF expectations are met. Skills and Qualfiications Effective communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps. Discipline appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience: Knowledgeable of Project Completions activities and typical commissioning practices including typical Systems Completion Database software (e.g., WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, Orbit). Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs. Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities. Proficient in Work Management Systems. Team Player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority and willingness to assist others.
