Responsibilities: Supervise and support medical officers and trainees, contribute to their development, and participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, and patient-safety activities. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records. Support consultant-led clinics, ward rounds, and procedures. Maintain current MDCN registration/license in line with internal clinical policy. Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team, coordinate care with other services, and support managed-care/HMO processes through evidence-based, cost-effective practice. Provide largely independent assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients in internal medicine, referring complex cases when necessary. Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognised institution. Experience: Substantial post-registration clinical experience, including experience: at medical/dental officer level. Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC clinical experience, including progression through Medical Officer grades. Required skills: Understanding of clinical governance, audit and patient safety. Effective communication with patients, families and colleagues. Ability to supervise and support junior medical officers. Strong clinical knowledge of internal medicine and the ability to manage most cases independently.
