We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Finance – Financial Analyst Location: Lagos Job Type: Contract Main Functions The role supports project and business financial activities by preparing cost reports and forecasts, monitoring expenditures, validating financial transactions, and resolving financial issues in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. The position operates under defined procedures and guidance, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management processes The financial analyst provides financial and analytical support to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, budget monitoring, and informed decision-making. Tasks and Responsibilities: Provides analytical support in order to deliver financial results. Works with internal workers and external vendors to resolve issues and provide ad hoc financial analysis. Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures. Assists with allocation of funds for projects based on approved budgets and monitors project accounting. Validate invoices, expenditures and change requests impacting budgets. Identifies and implements improvements to cost management processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Prepares cost reports including forecasts/outlooks. Job Requirements: Knowledge of invoice validation, expenditure monitoring, budget allocation, and project accounting. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management principles. Ability to prepare cost reports, forecasts, financial analyses, and variance reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and basic data analysis. Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Familiarity with accounting/ERP systems and financial reporting tools is an advantage. 1–3 years of relevant experience: in financial analysis, accounting, cost control, budgeting, or project finance.
