The Inventory Officer will establish and maintain an efficient inventory-control system for laboratory reagents, consumables, medical supplies, office supplies and other materials required for uninterrupted diagnostic operations. We are recruiting experienced professionals who are passionate about excellence, technology, quality, customer experience: and building efficient healthcare systems from the ground up. Key responsibilities: include Monitor stock consumption and identify unusual usage patterns. Maintain accurate records of all stock received, issued, transferred and remaining. Apply FEFO (First-Expiry, First-Out) principles for items with expiry dates. Verify quantities, specifications, batch numbers, expiry dates and condition of received items. Ensure stock is stored according to manufacturers' instructions and applicable laboratory requirements. Reconcile physical stock with inventory records and investigate variances. Raise replenishment requests when stock reaches approved reorder levels. Maintain an organised and secure store environment. Support internal controls designed to prevent stock losses, wastage and unauthorised issues. Work with the laboratory and procurement teams to forecast stock requirements. Maintain minimum, maximum and reorder levels. Ensure appropriate storage conditions for reagents and temperature-sensitive materials. Maintain appropriate records for reagents and consumables required for laboratory quality and traceability. Conduct routine and periodic physical stock counts. Support audits and regulatory/quality assessments. Maintain proper documentation for purchases, receipts, issues and returns. Monitor expired, damaged, obsolete and near-expiry stock. Receive and inspect laboratory reagents, consumables, medical supplies and other materials. Prepare inventory reports for management and Finance. Qualifications Knowledge of inventory-management software is an advantage. Experience: managing laboratory reagents, consumables or medical supplies is highly desirable. 2–3 years' experience: as an Inventory Officer, Storekeeper or similar role. Experience: with stock reconciliation and physical inventory counts is required. Experience: in a medical laboratory, hospital, pharmacy or medical store is required. Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing & Supply, Inventory Management or a related discipline. Skills Set: Knowledge of FEFO/FIFO principles. Ability to manage batch numbers and expiry dates. Knowledge of medical/laboratory inventory management. Good Excel skills. Ability to use inventory-management software. Knowledge of storage requirements: for laboratory reagents and medical consumables. Good numerical and reconciliation skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong documentation and record-keeping. Strong inventory and stock-control skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to identify stock discrepancies and prevent inventory losses. Benefits: HMO and Pension applicable.
