We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Technical Operations Manager Location: Lekki, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Department: Operations Reports To: Technical Superintendent Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Technical Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee the Company's marine, engineering, and technical operations across its oil & gas, EPC, marine logistics, and renewable energy businesses. This role requires a technically competent and commercially aware professional with extensive experience: in vessel operations, maintenance planning, dry-docking, repairs, engineering projects, asset management, and technical team coordination. The successful candidate will support the Technical Superintendent in ensuring the technical integrity, operational reliability, safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the Company's marine assets, engineering projects, and technical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering expertise with project management capability, cost consciousness, and a commitment to international safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Technical Operations & Asset Management: Monitor the technical performance, availability, maintenance, and lifecycle condition of vessels, equipment, and critical assets. Implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes to improve asset reliability and operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce equipment downtime, improve performance, and optimize maintenance costs. Coordinate technical operations across marine logistics, EPC projects, offshore activities, renewable energy installations, and engineering operations. Support the Technical Superintendent in implementing the Company's technical and asset management strategy. Marine & Engineering Operations: Coordinate the technical management of vessels, including inspections, repairs, dry-docking, modifications, commissioning, and technical upgrades. Oversee marine engineering activities involving machinery, propulsion systems, auxiliary equipment, electrical systems, and onboard technical installations. Provide engineering support for offshore operations, towage services, vessel mobilization, marine logistics, and infrastructure projects. Support EPC projects during planning, design review, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover. Ensure technical activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project schedules and operational requirements. Maintenance & Technical Compliance: Ensure compliance with Company HSE policies, quality standards, operating procedures, and industry best practices. Implement and monitor planned maintenance systems for vessels, marine equipment, and engineering assets. Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical reports, manuals, certificates, and equipment documentation. Support compliance with statutory regulations, classification society requirements, flag State regulations, and applicable international maritime conventions. Coordinate technical inspections, surveys, audits, certifications, and regulatory documentation. Technical Project Management: Work closely with the Procurement team to define technical specifications and ensure the timely sourcing of spare parts, equipment, materials, and specialist services. Review technical proposals, quotations, drawings, specifications, and contractor submissions. Monitor technical budgets, maintenance expenditure, contractor performance, and project delivery timelines. Coordinate technical planning and execution for vessel repairs, refurbishment, upgrades, engineering works, and capital improvement projects. Support the Technical Superintendent in managing relationships with classification societies, flag administrations, OEMs, shipyards, regulatory authorities, contractors, and technical service providers. Experience: supporting offshore operations, EPC projects, marine logistics, or renewable energy infrastructure will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge of vessel repairs, dry-docking, inspections, commissioning, and engineering best practices. Demonstrated experience: managing vessel technical operations, engineering maintenance systems, and technical projects. Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
