We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Business Development Officer Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The officer will also contribute to strategic planning, customer retention, and promotion of Sixthlab’s products and services in the healthcare and laboratory equipment sector. The role involves generating leads, managing client relationships, and supporting the sales team to achieve set targets. The Business Development Team Lead is responsible for driving company growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence. Key Responsibilities: Market Development and Client Acquisition: Prepare tailored business proposals, quotations, and tender documents. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations with prospective clients. Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain clients in both private and public sectors. Generate qualified leads and follow up to conversion through consultative selling. Identify and research potential clients, partners, and new market opportunities. Client Relationship and Account Management: Serve as a liaison between clients and internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Provide after-sales support and ensure client satisfaction and loyalty. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales documentation. Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence: Provide feedback to management on market conditions, pricing strategies, and product performance. Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and build networks. Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to plan promotions, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns. Sales Performance and Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports. Meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives. Provide accurate forecasts and contribute to planning and budgeting processes. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate terms and close sales that align with company objectives and profitability goals. Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical business practices in all transactions. Follow up on payments and ensure timely receipt of funds in collaboration with the Accounts team. Qualifications Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Minimum of HND or BSc Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Science, or related field. 2–4 years relevant experience: in business development or sales (preferably in a medical/laboratory equipment or healthcare environment). Key Requirements: and Skills: Good understanding of the medical and laboratory supply industry. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
