Beyond ensuring cost optimization, the successful candidate will play a key role in business development. Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Senior level Experience Length: 8 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements Responsibilities: Strategic Facility Planning: Develop and implement strategic facility plans, policies, and procedures to optimize the use of company assets and support overall business objectives Identify opportunities for cost savings, operational efficiency, service improvements, and sustainability initiatives. Facility Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of company facilities, including maintenance, repairs, cleaning, security, landscaping, and other facility-related services Ensure that facilities are well-maintained, functional, safe, and compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Vendor and Contractor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality services Negotiate contracts, review service agreements, and monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements, and quality standards. Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage facility budgets, forecasts, and expenditures. Monitor expenses, track cost variances, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and budgetary efficiencies Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and relevant stakeholders. Business Generation and Development: Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities and expand the company's facility management portfolio. Identify, research, and pursue potential clients and facility management contracts Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, understand their facility management needs, and develop tailored service solutions and proposals Support business pitches, tenders, presentations, and contract negotiations to secure new business and drive revenue growth. Financial Efficiency and Business Growth: Ensure the efficient management of operational costs while maintaining high facility and service delivery standards Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality, safety, or client satisfaction. Monitor business performance and contribute to strategies that improve profitability, client retention, and sustainable revenue growth. Client Relationship and Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, and key stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction and service delivery Act as a key point of contact for facility management clients, proactively address service concerns, identify opportunities for additional services, and support client retention and account growth. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and industry standards Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and healthy work environment Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans, protocols, and procedures to respond effectively to facility emergencies, including fires, natural disasters, security incidents, and other critical events Conduct regular training exercises and drills to ensure staff readiness and effective crisis management. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of facility management professionals, including maintenance staff, technicians, and administrative personnel Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to support employee growth and career advancement. Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for facility operations and service delivery Regularly assess operational performance, client satisfaction, service quality, and business outcomes Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service excellence, profitability, and overall business performance. Requirements: BSc/BA in facility management, Engineering, or related field. 8 years of experience in facility management, with a demonstrated track record of success in leading facility operations and delivering results. Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships. Business development skills with a track record of securing new contracts. Ability to work independently and drive growth in a competitive environment. Additional certifications in Facility Management will be an added advantage . Key Competencies: Knowledge of technical operations and facilities management best practices Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance requirements. Solid understanding of facility management principles, best practices, and industry standards. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
