We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Biomedical Associate Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Full-time Summary This role offers hands-on responsibility in biomedical equipment management, laboratory procedures, maintenance support, documentation, and healthcare technology operations. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Biomedical Associate to join our team. Key Responsibilities: Assist with research, data collection, technical assessments, and departmental improvement projects. Help maintain accurate equipment records, service reports, and inventory documentation. Repairs, maintenance and calibration of medical equipment. Installation, commissioning, and safe operation of medical and laboratory equipment. Follow infection-control, occupational-safety, quality-assurance, and regulatory procedures. Support biomedical engineers, technicians, and clinical staff with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment evaluations. Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required. Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant hospital, laboratory, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate equipment records, service reports, maintenance schedules, and inventory documentation. Monitor equipment performance and report faults, safety concerns, and maintenance requirements: promptly. Inspect, test, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on biomedical equipment. Conductthe inspection, testing, and routine maintenance of biomedical equipment. Provide basic user guidance and support to healthcare and laboratory personnel. Observe safety, infection-control, and quality-assurance procedures. Learn and follow relevant hospital, laboratory, and regulatory standards. Requirements: Commitment to safety, confidentiality, professional ethics, and continuous learning. Currently studying, or recently graduated in Biomedical Engineering, Health Technology, or a related field. Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical, technical, and administrative teams.
