Key responsibilities: Enforce HSE compliance within team during all maintenance activities. Ensure the availability and mandatory use of PPE within the team. These activities include but are not limited to: Array Junction Box (AJB) maintenance as per annual maintenance schedule Periodic cleaning of solar PV modules as per annual maintenance schedule Conducting PV system checks. Inspection of the solar mounting structures Periodic cable inspection as per annual maintenance schedule Report all safety incidents and near-misses to the QHSE department. Ensure that all team members and 3rd party contractors have the required medical fitness and competency certificates. Taking and archiving of “before and after” pictures of solar panel array. He/she is expected to ensure that the annual maintenance schedule for solar plants is strictly followed. Plan, prepare, and manage schedules pertaining to preventive maintenance on allotted solar plants. He/she is expected to plan maintenance activities for members of his/her team on a weekly basis. Weekly reporting of all executed maintenance activities. Liaise with QHSE officers for the provision of all required RAMS documents. Manage and execute activities pertaining to Solar System Preventative Maintenance (SSPM) on all allotted Daystar solar power system and ensuring all HSE procedures are followed. Ensure that all safety guidelines are strictly adhered to, especially while working at heights. Requirements: Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. HSE certification is an advantage. Language Proficiency: English. Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ work experience: in Electrical Engineering roles, preferably in the renewable energy or power industry, installing and / or maintaining solar systems. Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel and Word). Character: self-motivated and demonstrate a sense of ownership with high level of commitment and the ability to thrive under pressure. discretion in dealing with sensitive information. passionate about quality of workmanship. highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands, passion for renewable energy. good communication skills and ability to lead and work well in teams.
