Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Financial Accounting: Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments. Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end close, including preparation of schedules and supporting workpapers. Assist in preparing financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and management reports. Cost & Inventory Accounting: Maintain and reconcile standard/actual costing for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Track and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), production variances (material, labor, overhead), and yield/scrap losses. Perform periodic physical and cycle inventory counts; investigate and resolve stock discrepancies. Monitor raw material, packaging, and finished goods valuation in line with company costing policy. Support product costing for new SKUs and cost-saving initiatives with the supply chain/production team. Accounts Payable/Receivable Support: Process supplier invoices, match to purchase orders and goods received notes, and ensure timely payments. Support customer invoicing, credit control, and collections as needed. Compliance & Controls: Ensure transactions comply with company accounting policies, IFRS/local GAAP, and internal controls. Support statutory audits, tax filings (VAT/WHT/CIT as applicable), and regulatory reporting. Maintain proper documentation and filing for audit readiness. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as required. Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams on cost-related queries.
