We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Procurement Officer Location: Magodo, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating with vendors, processing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the timely availability of products across our supermarket branches. This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to build productive supplier relationships while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with company procurement policies. The Label Store is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized Procurement Officer to join our growing retail operations team. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with finance and accounts teams to reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory, warehouse, and branch teams to prevent stock shortages and overstocking. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service agreements with suppliers. Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function. Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation. Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery performance. Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations and recommend improvements where necessary. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and pricing schedules. Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing. Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing forecasts for management review. Track orders from placement through delivery and resolve any supply or logistics issues promptly. Requirements: and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail. High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism. Must reside in Magodo or within the Enviro Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
