Our client is a leading indigenous energy and natural resources company. They are looking to hire a Business Development Manager in Lagos. Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the oil and gas and energy sectors. Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, market share, and profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, operators, EPC contractors, and industry partners. Identify and develop opportunities within the Mini-LNG and gas sectors. Monitor industry trends, upcoming projects, market developments, and emerging business opportunities. Develop and manage competitive, commercially viable proposals in collaboration with technical, operations, procurement, and finance teams. Lead tendering, proposal development, negotiation, and contract management activities. Provide management with regular reports on business opportunities, tender activities, revenue forecasts, and market developments. Ensure a smooth handover of secured contracts to operations and project teams. Identify opportunities to expand existing contracts and introduce additional services. Maintain updated company profiles, certifications, HSE documents, and technical credentials required for tender participation. Ensure all business development activities comply with company policies, applicable laws, client requirements, and industry standards Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 8–11 years of experience: in business development, preferably within the Nigerian oil and gas or energy sector. Proven experience: in LNG, gas distribution, energy infrastructure, or related projects is highly desirable. Strong understanding of the Nigerian oil and gas sector and regulatory environment. Good understanding of the LNG value chain, including gas processing, liquefaction, storage, transportation, and distribution. Proven experience: working with International Oil Companies (IOCs), EPC contractors, and industry stakeholders. Strong track record in business development, sales strategy, client relationship management, and contract acquisition. Experience: in tendering, proposal development, negotiation, and contract management. Strong networking, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to develop strategic relationships and identify commercially viable opportunities. Marketing or Sales certification is an advantage. Membership of CIM, NIM, Energy Institute (EI), or International Gas Union (IGU) is an advantage. PMP certification is an added advantage. Strong integrity, professionalism, confidence, and executive presence.
