The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s financial health through effective planning, compliance, and control processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and monitor budgets to support organizational financial planning. Handle taxation processes, including preparation and filing of tax returns in compliance with regulations. Manage PAYE (Pay As You Earn) and ensure proper remittance to relevant authorities. Prepare financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Prepare, process, and manage payroll, ensuring timely salary payments and correct statutory deductions. Support internal controls and assist in audit processes. Perform other finance-related duties as assigned. Conduct financial forecasting and provide insights for strategic decision-making. Review and clean financial data (account scrubbing) to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date company financial records. Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank and ledger reconciliation. Qualifications and Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-3 years experience: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Good organizational and time management skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
