We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Procurement Officer (FMCG) Location: Ibadan, Oyo Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience: in sourcing, vendor management, purchase order processing, and import compliance within a fast-paced FMCG environment. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage end-to-end procurement activities, supplier relationships, inventory coordination, and import documentation. Key Responsibilities: Monitor shipments from supplier dispatch through customs clearance to warehouse delivery. Ensure adherence to organizational procurement policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Coordinate with freight forwarders, logistics providers, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure smooth import operations. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including Purchase Requisition (PR) preparation, quotation sourcing, purchase order (PO) creation, and approval coordination. Import & Trade Compliance Ensure full compliance with customs procedures and import regulations throughout the procurement cycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and OEM suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply. Review supplier quotations, invoices, and procurement documents for accuracy and compliance. Manage procurement records and documentation to support audit and regulatory compliance. Prepare, issue, and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Source, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard reliable local and international suppliers. Maintain strong knowledge of Nigerian import regulations, including NAFDAC, SON, Customs, and other statutory requirements. Track supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and service standards. Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and other departments to understand procurement requirements. Source and procure spare parts, machinery components, and operational materials from local and international markets. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to maintain optimal stock availability. Coordinate Goods Received Notes (GRN) and ensure proper documentation after material receipt. Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/Procurement Management Systems. 3–4 years of procurement experience, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience: managing import documentation and international procurement activities. Bachelor's Degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control. Salary N400,000 - N450,000 per month.
