We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Site Electrical Engineer Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary Serving as the primary technical authority on site for building services, the Site M&E Engineer coordinates sub-contractors, inspects ongoing installations, and resolves technical discrepancies between MEP and structural design drawings. The Site M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Engineer at Popville Luxury Homes is responsible for overseeing the design compliance, installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across our luxury residential project sites. This role ensures that complex building services—including smart home automation, modern HVAC systems, power distribution, and plumbing networks—are executed to exact engineering standards, project timelines, and high-end aesthetic specifications. The role demands a highly organized, technically proficient, and quality-driven engineering professional who safeguards the operational performance and longevity of Popville’s premium developments. Key Responsibilities: M&E Site Execution & Quality Control: Drawing Review & Alignment: Review MEP engineering drawings, technical specifications, and builder coordination drawings to ensure proper integration with architectural and structural plans prior to installation. Quality Assurance & Testing: Conduct rigorous inspections and quality checks, leading material testing, cable continuity checks, pipe pressure tests, and preliminary systems testing to ensure zero defects before wall closing or concrete pouring. On-Site Installation Supervision: Supervise sub-contractors and specialists during the installation of electrical systems, power distribution, smart home conduits, plumbing networks, drainage, and HVAC infrastructure across active development sites. Sub-Contractor & Material Management: Material Inspection: Verify that all M&E materials, fittings, and equipment delivered to the site match approved technical submittals, specifications, and brand standards for luxury developments. Sub-Contractor Coordination: Manage day-to-day activities of specialized M&E sub-contractors, ensuring work progress meets project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. Testing, Commissioning & Compliance: System Commissioning: Oversee the final testing, balancing, and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and smart home systems alongside relevant vendor engineers. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all M&E works comply with local building regulations, national engineering codes, and site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines. Technical Documentation & Reporting: Site Logs & As-Built Drawings: Maintain accurate daily site logs for M&E progress, log design queries/RFIs (Requests for Information), and oversee the compilation of red-line and as-built drawings for handover. Progress Reporting: Prepare clear weekly M&E progress reports for the Project Manager, identifying potential technical risks, site delays, or budget variances early.
