We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Position: BSS Engineer Job Location: Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Summary The BSS Engineer will be responsible for theconfiguration, integration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of BSS and microwave transmission equipment. The role will ensure high network availability, timely fault resolution, infrastructure readiness, and compliance with technical and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and maintain Huawei eNodeB 3900 series equipment. Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and fault resolution on BSS equipment. Install, commission, configure, and maintain Huawei RTN 910, RTN 905, RTN 950, and RTN 950A microwave systems. Diagnose and resolve microwave link faults while monitoring transmission performance and availability. Monitor BSS and transmission nodes, respond to network outages, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance. Monitor, analyse, and clear alarms on eNodeB and microwave systems within agreed timelines. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, riggers, and internal technical teams to ensure timely site readiness and resolution of infrastructure issues. Follow up on site upgrades, power, transmission, and other infrastructure requirements, escalating outstanding issues where necessary. Lead and coordinate riggers and field technical personnel during site activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on schedule. Prepare daily and weekly reports covering network performance, outages, alarms, maintenance activities, and corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of site activities, faults, resolutions, equipment status, and outstanding technical issues. Ensure all technical and field activities comply with company policies, operational standards, HSE requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience: in BSS, telecommunications, transmission, or network operations. Hands-on experience: with Huawei eNodeB 3900 and RTN series equipment is an advantage. Relevant telecommunications/networking certifications are an advantage.
